Kody's Story...
I am a Golden Retriever / Chow Chow mix named Kody. I am a friendly and outgoing guy looking for a family to take me in and keep me safe and sound. I do ok with other dogs but will do best in a home without cats. I have had some training and I am fully crate trained ( I think I'm housebroken too) I am just as smart as I am beautiful so it is important that I have secure yard so that I can't get out into harms way. Don't I sound like a golden match? 3 years old-70lbs. My adoption fee is $150.00 and includes adoption supplies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kody, a Portland Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Portland, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
