Piglet's Story...
Piglet was spotted in 23 degree weather by a veterinary technician at he side of the road. She spied something white set against a black background, and turned back to discover little white piglet, curled up against the carcass of a dead wild hog that had been hit by a car. The emaciated little cat was desperately to keep warm. He was only at half of his body weight, weighing in at only 6 lbs and had frostbitten ears. His rescuer provided veterinary care and nursed him back to health

He is a very friendly little cat. He has good house manners and is quite the charming young man. Piglet would be best without small children or other cats. Piglet is just waiting for a special someone to give him the safe, warm home he desperately needs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Piglet, a Summerville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Summerville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Summerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Summerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Summerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Summerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
