Derek & Andy's Story...
A Puuursian pair looking for love!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello there. I'm Derek and this is my brother, Andy, the handsome grey kitty on the right. I won't keep you long--but hopefully long enough that you'll decide you just can't live without us!
We were adopted from PAWS back in 2002. And boy, did we have a great life. We lived with an older gentleman and we were the apples of his eye. Then sadly, he passed away. To say we were heartbroken is putting it mildly. Our owner's daughter lived out of state and could not take us in, so we were brought back to PAWS. Then, we thought we had hit the jackpot, we were adopted! But we were recently returned. This is our third time at Paws.

We are hoping with all our hearts that there is someone else out there who will give us a chance. We really need to be the only animals in a very quiet household. An older couple would be best. No children running around (well, they can visit once in a while), no dogs, no other cats...just you and us. We both both love to be brushed, and being Persians, we need to be brushed quite often. We are even used to being groomed. Now you do need to know that our ears need to be cleaned frequently. If our ears aren't cleaned on a regular basis, we get wax build-up which then develops into polyps. We also get some ear drops a couple times a week.

We are 9 1/2 years old, neutered, current on all our vaccinations and have tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Most importanlty, we are two adoring, loving kitties who want to be your puuurfect pair to love forever!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Derek & Andy, a Norwalk Persian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Persian for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Persian cat from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Persian breeders who help with Persian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
