CHARLIE's Story...
-CHARLIE-
DOGS: OK
CATS: OK
KIDS: 5+ YEARS OK

Hi there, I'm Charlie, the handsomest most laid back cocker spaniel/beagle mix you'll ever meet. I'm a very good boy, super housebroken, great with other dogs and love kids, very gentle on a leash and a super snuggler, too! I would do well with dog-savvy cats. I'm about 10 years old, and had been living at the pound for some time before I came to Young at Heart. The pound treated me for heartworm, but I still couldn't find a home because of my age. I'm a healthy boy now, and really am just about the sweetest thing ever. I love to lay next to you while you watch tv or read a book, and I would be a super first dog or a companion for just about any family. Won't you fill out an application to adopt me?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CHARLIE, a Palatine Cocker Spaniel/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Beagle for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Beagle dog from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Beagle breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
