Bella's Story...
Ciao, my name is Bella. I’m a lovely girl with an even lovelier personality. Most people feel sorry for dogs whose owners don’t want them anymore and dump them at the pound. But don’t feel sorry about that for me. Honestly, it was the best thing that could have happened for me. My luck got even better when a volunteer from FOHA came and rescued me from that very pound. I tell you, I think I’m on a roll. Life has been so good to me the last few weeks, and I’m ever so grateful. I’m no longer in a home with a family that doesn’t love or appreciate me. I was rescued from the pound when my time was up, and I came to FOHA where the folks show me more kindness and love than I’ve ever known before. What’s next? A new family, that’s what! Now that shouldn’t be hard for a wonderful girl like me. I’m very sweet and eager to please. I have nice manners, too. I’m friendly with other dogs and I’m very easy to walk. I also enjoy riding in the car. Oh, and by the way, I really, really love to have my butt scratched. I get so excited I just start dancing. I’m very quiet and gentle, and I love just snuggling right up to you. It’s amazing how dogs can still have a positive outlook on life in spite of the tough times some of us go through. Since the love I tried to give my previous family was never taken, I have a lot stored up. I’m ready to find out what having a family of your own that loves you is all about. (Please Note: I can only be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Aldie Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
