My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paxton is an adorable, 11 months old, pitbull-mix, male. He is about 40 pounds and we don't think he will get much bigger, which is a good thing because he does think he is a lap dog. He was hit by a car during Thanksgiving weekend and his previous owners could not afford the surgery therefore surrendered him to the vet. He had a pin in his left hip but has since then been removed and is a slow heal but he will be able to keep his leg. This does not slow him down one bit! He loves to run and play! He has been fostered in a home with children, cats, and other dogs for the past 2 months and gets along very well with everyone! He is leash trained and knows how to use the doggie door! He is house broke and working on basic commands such as sit, stay, and come. He loves car rides and is such a people pleaser. He listens very well. Paxton is up-to-date on his shots and will be neutered on 1/26/10 and will also be started on heartworm meds the same day. He has a clean bill of health from his vet! A fenced yard is required and it should also be known that Paxton can be quite the escape-artist!

THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING: If interested, please contact his foster mom (Jenny) directly at: junieb82@att.net

Please include some information about your family (number of people / pets and ages of children), your home (own or rent), your yard (fenced or not) and a veterinary reference if possible. Adoption applications will be reviewed and assessed as they are received. The best home for Paxton will be considered a priority. There is a $100.00 adoption fee for Paxton to help pay for some of the costs of vet care Paxton has received.
