Percy's Story...
Percy is a cute brindle-colored guy. At about 2 yrs old, I am already full-grown and stand short and compact, (sounding a bit like a car!). My ancestry is a little uncertain, but my parents were dogs, breeds unknown, perhaps a bit of heinz57? I am a very happy & sweet guy who enjoys playing with my pals. I simply love everyone! Though I am strong and athletic, I walk well on a leash, and really, really enjoy long walks!! I like to sniff everything along the way. But I do like to climb fences and go exploring, so my new home will need to have a secure privacy fence. When you meet me, I will cock my head to the side and smile at you. If you like, I will even give you a great big hug! I have the most expressive eyes - look deep into them and take me home - wait, that comes later. Can you find room in your heart and home for me? Please email us at blueridgedogresq@aol.com to meet Percy !

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Percy, a Charlottesville Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Charlottesville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Charlottesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlottesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlottesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlottesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
