My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jinx is just a sweetheart of a dog. He is very well behaved and quiet in the home. He loves being with people and thoroughly enjoys playing with other dogs. He is very affectionate and somewhat of a suck dog and just wants to do everything he can to please you. He is a young dog just over a year old and is approximately 27 lbs.

Jinx is actually a favorite with Ugly Mutts because he epitomizes the very heart of our rescue. Jinx was dumped in a pound as a young pup and grew up in that environment never knowing what a loving home was. Being overlooked by shelter visitors and passed over for adoption his fate was pretty much sealed when he was placed in the kill room to await being euthanized. Luckily someone saw the potential in this boy and sent him to Ugly Mutts.

Although Jinx was unsure of everything when he first came into foster care, he was so willing to trust and quickly came to relish the attention of his foster family. He has now come to love his doggie bed and soaks up every bit of attention he can get.

Being a very intelligent and well mannered dog by nature he quickly picked up on what was expected of him and continues to try and give his all. With his true personality starting to shine through he has shown himself to be exceptionally loyal. He would excel in obedience work and would be an excellent family companion. Jinx would do well with children of any age and would be fine with even very active children. Jinx of course feels very secure and has a ball with other dogs and has no issues at all with cats. He is quiet and well behaved in the home and a favorite at the dog park.

It will take Jinx a bit of time to get relaxed in his new home and his new family will need to be patient in the beginning giving him time to adjust. If you are willing to allow him this, you will soon see his true personality shine through and you will see that Jinx is an exceptional companion.
