Niki's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Niki's Story...
6-year-old. Spayed Female. Beagle/Shepherd Mix. 30Ibs.

I landed in my first home nearly 6-years-ago as a puppy. Unfortunately, my family had to move to a place that did not allow dogs. Fortunately, they brought me to the Rutland County Humane Society were I have a chance to find a new forever family. I’m an active 6-year-old and I love being petted, going for walks, and riding in the car. Some say I look like a miniature German Shepherd. I know “sit” and “lie down.” I used to live with other dogs and I didn’t chase the neighbor cat so I might be good in a multi-animal household. I’ve only lived with older kids so I do need a family with kids 11+.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Niki, a Pittsford Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Beagle for sale in Pittsford, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Beagle dog from a breeder in Pittsford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Beagle breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsford paves the way for another one to be saved.
