Posha's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Posha's Story...
Posha is a beautiful adult, Thai Ridgeback mix. She's a happy-go-lucky, upbeat girl with an expressive set of ears and a great smile. Posha is great with people, once she gets to know them but would need an adjustment period. If you are looking for a unique, sweetheart of a dog, she might be the one for you. Posha needs to be in a home with an experienced dog owner with no other pets.

All of our dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Dogs are also tested for heartworms and cats for FeLV/FIV. If a dog has been with us long enough, he/she has also received some basic obedience training with our in-house trainer and staff.

About LifeLine Animal Project

About Our Shelter...

LifeLine Animal Project is an Atlanta-based non-profit organization working on collaborative solutions to end pet overpopulation and stop the euthanasia of healthy and treatable dogs and cats in metro Atlanta animal shelters. LifeLine’s focus is to promote the adoption of homeless pets and to initiate and support effective spay and neuter programs. The guiding principle behind all LifeLine programs is to foster cooperation between the more than 150 companion animal rescue groups, humane societies, and county animal control agencies serving greater Atlanta.

Our Adoption Process...

LifeLine Animal Project Adoption Process

We’re excited that you are considering adopting a homeless dog or cat!

The first step in the adoption process is to fill out the application for the dog or cat you are interested in adopting. You can do this under the animal’s listing on our website, http://lifelineanimal.org . The application will be reviewed by one of our experienced adoption counselors. At that time, you will be contacted with any questions and/or to set up a time to come and meet the pet you have chosen.

If you are applying for a dog, we encourage you to bring your dog to meet the new dog. After all, he/she is part of the family too, right? If all goes well, we will then set up a home visit. Our trained staff will bring the new dog to your home to make sure everyone is comfortable with the new family member and to make sure the new dog is comfortable in your home. This visit is not meant to be intrusive and we do not pry into your business. It is only meant as a safeguard. We do not always perform a home visit for cats, but we reserve the option to do so if we feel it is needed. After that, the adoption contract is signed, the vet records transferred and the adoption fee paid. The dog or cat stays with you at this time unless other arrangements have been made.

All of our dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Dogs are also tested for heartworms and cats for FeLV/FIV. If a dog has been with us long enough, he/she has also received some basic obedience training with our in-house trainer and staff. The adoption fee for cats is $65, dogs are $85.

Now, what are you waiting for? Visit http://lifelineanimal.org and fill out the application. We’ll talk to you soon.
