Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My days of roaming around Port Washington ended about abruptly. I’m not exactly inconspicuous weighing in at 66 pounds, sporting a jet black shinny coat and long slender legs. So it’s no surprise that I met my match with the local dog warden. I suppose its just as well since a guy like me footloose and fancy free can be a danger on Port Washington’s busy streets. Those days of roaming were fun but I’m now ready to settle down in a nice home. I have a bit of Great Dane and Labrador Retriever in me which is great news for those of you out there that are interested in dependability and loyalty. I’m also extremely smart which makes training enjoyable. At two and a half years old, I still have a playful spirit about me which explains my love for toys. The kind trainers here at the shelter let me indulge in the toy box and I am known to stockpile them. Don’t let my large and muscular size discourage you from considering me as a good family pet. Although I am obedient, gentle and patient it is best, because of my size, that I settle in a home without small children. Please call the shelter 516-944-8220 during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10-4PM) for more information about Laddie, the adoption process at the shelter and to confirm availability. Please go to www.theshelterconnection.com for more information about and directions to the shelter. Laddie is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.
