Munk's Story...
NEED IMMEDIATE RESCUE ASSISTANCE PLEASE!

On 8/19 a handsome dog walked into the house where I live with an owner that is afraid of dogs. I fell in love with boy and interrupted my hectic life and decided that I must find his owner as the desert, where I live is isolated. This "boy" wwhich I walked around the desert neighborhood and I immediately posted flyers for NEEDS A HOME WHERE I CAN TAKE HIM TOMORROW MORNING OR TODAY.

To continue the story: I was advised to take him to the shelter where they would check him for microchip. While there they told he was a mastiff. I immediately notified my good friends that do rescue and asked for assistance. The Adopt A CHOW rescuers jumped in and cross posted and that in turn brought me a few very giving people that wanted his safety and one even sent funds to me to help. I called friends in Corona and I began telling them the story, they said that they had wanted to adopt a 2-3 year old male, loved Mastiffs. They have a persnikity Siberian 6 years old, but she is a female, so we were all very happy. I visited the BOY in Cell 27 at The Apple Valley Rescue through the week end until Wednesda, when he was put up for adoption and went in to bail him out. I brought him to the Veterinarian, which for a few minor abrasions from jumping out of the car on his way to the shelter, the boy was in gorgous shape with no problems. I proceeded to bring him to Corona. The Siberian and him did not meet properly and

I immediately felt that this was not the right home for him--twofold. They wanted him for an outside pet and this boy is as affectionate as a can be and used to human company. He heels

well and is calm with humans and affectionate with them and children. I kept thinkling that he was a Mastiff aas the vet and shelter in Apple Valley told me that he was and took photos to

a Bull Matiff rescue. She has identified him as most probably a TOSA INU or Villalobos. A rare breed. I went on to research all of the types of Mastiffs and TOSA since her email. He looks like

the Brazilian Mastiff too. the Ca de Terceira. My friend Judy is posting his photo online but my dilemma is that I HAVE NOT ENOUGH FUNDS TO BOARD HIM AND HE MUST LEAVE WHERE HE IS
BY AM TOMORROW. He has all of his shots now. I spent yesterday with him for 3 hours so that

he could sit in the shade, as it is very sunny in the area where he is. I cannot use the air in my car and it is too hot to drive him all over the place very long. PLEASE CALL ME AT my home 760.240.7252

I am not a rescue person, I help occassionally. My knowledge of rare breeds is limited.
I think this Boy would make an excellent pet/companion and protector to a dog person that is intelligent. PLEASE HELP ME TODAY! Let me know wher I can take him, or if you can pick him up here in Corona.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Munk, a Harbor City Bullmastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bullmastiff for sale in Harbor City, or seeking a Bullmastiff dog from a breeder in Harbor City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harbor City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harbor City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bullmastiff breeders who help with Bullmastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harbor City paves the way for another one to be saved.
