Please click on to read our Adoption Criteria and Adoption Procedure BEFORE requesting our application which we will gladly e-mail to you; you can also see our other 55+ resident kitties up for adoption. Also, please state your location and note ours. Thank You!

OPEE and his brother O'BAMA were born outside approx. May 2009, to a feral mom, but they are quite gentle and friendly.

They would make a lovely pair. We ask that if you wish to adopt only one kitten that you already have a kitty to help him grow up.

They will be neutered before adoption with all shots, dewormed etc.

Our personality profiles are 95% accurate based on the cats' present environment; this can change to SOME degree in a new environment, therefore, our predictions on the best matched home are 80% to 100% accurate.

As we have very limited manpower, please also note we are sometimes overloaded and cannot update profiles immediately.

For more information, please telephone us any day, between noon and 9 p.m.

About Cat-a-Match Rescue

About Our Shelter...

A feline behaviourist, rescuing abandoned felines and some dogs. Because of our %100 lifetime return policy we make every effort to correctly match the right companion to suit your lifestyle. This is a "Let Live " Safe Haven and our motto is : rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home. The promise we try to uphold to our rescued felines: " that they should never have to be rescued again!" A Guidelines Adopters' Package is included with the adoption and post adoption support for health and behaviour, from natural to conventional remedies.

Come Meet Our Pets...

The Safe Haven is located 1 hour east of Ottawa just off Hwy. 417, easy to find, and 45 min. west of Montreal. Visits are by appointment.

Our Adoption Process...

Please first read our Adoption Procedures and Criteria on our homepage at:, then e-mail us requesting an application. We will then review it, contact your references and then contact you by phone for a short interview and to book an appointment for your visit to the shelter. Our visitors usually spend an hour or more to be able to interact with as many of our resident cats as possible, in a natural 'home environment' as well as an opportunity to ask us any questions you might have. We then ask that you return home to make your decision, and if you think you have found a suitable companion we then contact each other to discuss these details. If we are all in agreement, then arrangements are made for your special new companion to be delivered to your home (within a certain distance or other arrangements are made). Our minimum donation for adult cat adoption is $165.00 (an additional donation for cats who have had certain testing or treatments).
