KIKI is adorable, gentle and sweet and has been through an ordeal like no other kitty! When volunteers went to the location to hopefully rescue all 3, they had to put KIKI in a cat carrier to lure the kittens into the trap next to her, as they were too shy.
After the rescuer noticed one kitten was caught, she quickly brought it to her own home across the street while the other volunteer watched KIKI.
In the space of a few minutes that she had left her window, very incredibly, someone took mom KIKI in the carrier. A nightmare ensued with door-to-door posters, police enquiries, and much talking and walking and driving for 11 days.
The other kitten was caught the next day, and both are doing fine and are adopted. But where was poor KIKI whom we believed was undernourished and needing care?
Our newspaper and poster appeals finally worked - our prayers were answered to put KIKI back where she had come from and that we did not want the cage. She appeared, very tired and cold, at the place from where she had been taken - where she used to come to eat.
Our vet took the kittens and they were soon adopted. Kiki was spayed/vac/etc. She is a very sweet girl, well behaved and plays on her own. She adores people and would do well in a quiet home as an only cat or another quiet kitty. She recently (June 2016) underwent dental surgery to remove a few teeth. She also had a low white blood cell count at that time but seems to be doing well now however she should remain on a good diet.
Why not give this lovely friendly kitty her forever home!
