Here's what the humans have to say about me:
1/21/10 An update on Layla...Layla is so sweet and smart...and her beautiful coat coloring looks like "blonde" highlights in her dark hair...Layla says she loves to cuddle on the sofa or the bed in the evening and give lots of kisses. She is housetrained and will scratch at the door to go out...she also sleeps in her crate all night without a peep...she is outgoing and confident , greeting anyone at the door or on the street... adults, children or dogs...We walk daily on the trails and she will dive head first into the deep snow looking for whatever is hiding under there...Layla is very attentive and has learned to sit, lay down, shake and come as well as jump up onto the sofa when I point to it...She loves her German Shepherd pal, follows him everywhere and they play tug of war with their toys and retrieve tennis balls....Layla no longer chews on furnishings and is learning to leave the socks and shoes alone... Layla says she is a big girl and is ready to please her forever family... Layla is about 40 pounds and wont get much bigger as she is now about 7-8 months old! 1-3-09 Here is an update from Layla's foster mom..."Luke and Layla have been on several woods walks and love it....they sniff everything....and are doing well on the leashes...Luke is a little timid and has his nose in the air smelling everything..listening & watching every movement...Layla the opposite has nose to the ground sniffing tracks not bothered by much....they get along great with my dog as they are submissive with him and they follow his every move...last night they all were retrieving a ball and sticks in the snow(I was trying to tire them out)...they just learned to sit and Luke seems to be housetrained and is a real gentleman, steady and quiet , not as rambunctious as Layla"
12-29-09 Layla is here and cute as can be. She wasn't too sure what to think of the cold and snow! Stay tuned for more info as her foster family gets to know her!
12-17-09 Layla and her brother Luke are around 6 months old. They are lab mixes, maybe mixed with Schipperke or terrier. Layla is a little shy but is getting better everyday. Layla is a very sweet dog who needs a person to show her she can trust people.
Layla is with our partner rescue in the south, and she needs a loving foster home in order for us to bring her north; we'd like her to be fostered at first with her brother for security before we separate them. Contact us today for an application for one or both of these sweeties ; 0 )
