My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

5/8/10: Cocoa's foster reports that he continues to do well. He is a lower energy dog. He recently had a bath and did well with that and enjoyed being brushed! He is working on some commands, such as "sit". He is a little bit shy sometimes. His foster feels he would be a wonderful addition to a home, and would do just fine as the only dog.

4/23/10: Cocoa's foster reports that he is such a wonderful little boy! He just wants to make everyone happy and not be in trouble. When any of the dogs are corrected, he hangs his tail wn. Cocoa is curious about the cats in the household but is getting along with them.

4/19/10: What a nice boy Cocoa is! He is patient and sweet and seems to be pretty easy going! He will make a nice friend for a lucky person! He is settling into his foster home and getting along nicely with the dogs there, and he even snuggled with his foster mom's daughter! Stay tuned for updates on Cocoa!

March 2010~ Cocoa is doing great in foster care and enjoying other dogs. He is a bit more shy than his buddy Happy Girl, and is protective of her. He is great with the foster mom's little girl so kids should be no problem.

Jan 2010~ Cocoa is the bigger brown dog. She and her pal Happy Girl were all alone in their home after their owner died and were rescued by a kind person who can not keep them. Cocoa is a chocolate lab mix, approximately 50 lbs. They are both very nice dogs who deserve love and attention. The vet estimated Cocoa to be 2-3 years old.

These two are bonded but don't have to stay together if it means getting good homes for them. They are with a partner rescue in the south and we would love to get them north if you would agree to foster or adopt one or both.
