Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there - I'm Finn!
Originally it wasn't my idea to leave the dark protection of that area under the deck, but before I knew what was happening, we were scooped up and ended up here.
It's taken a little while for me to accept that I would have a better life with people, but now I really like it. Especially when the Party Mix comes out - Yum!
I am still shy, too many people coming and going and I am not sure who to trust. I sure need my own loving person so I can relax and enjoy life.
I think I'm ready to start meeting potential Best Friends - are you ready to meet me? It's pretty easy. Just go to the AFS website www.alteredferalstate.org and find the adoption application on the "links" page. Fill it out and email it. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
I need to know that you are patient and understand that not all kitties want to sit in your lap and cuddle all the time. That may come someday, but first you're going to have to win my trust. They have explained to me that this might not be the best way to endear myself to you, but I refer to think of myself as cautious. Do you thinkj you have what it takes to win me over?
You can call the shelter for an appointment to meet me, or come to PetSmart in Conyers or Bethlehem for a meet and greet.
None of us are exactly at our very best at PetSmart, but that's just because we're used to having lots of love and fun at our shelter home and going to PetSmart with all the loud noises and bright lights is a little scary. Still, you can see how handsome I am and that I'd be really great as your new forever best friend.
At Altered Feral State, we work with feral cat colonies. All of our kittens were removed from the colonies and completely socialized when they are less than 8 weeks old. We don't offer them for adoption until they have been tested, vaccinated and spayed or neutered.
Our adoption fee of $75 only covers a very small portion of our costs, but to us, it's all about finding the best home for these wonderful kitties.
If you are interested in providing a home for Finn, please go to our website, download our adoption application and email it to us at afsga@att.net.
