When we called the shelter to inquire about Diego they said, "He's wonderful, and he's one of the cutest dogs we've ever seen!" Once we saw him for ourselves we knew exactly what they meant! Diego is a 4 year old collie/shepherd mix. He has long hair and a gorgeous brindle coloring. His personality matches his looks too!

Diego is a calm, sweet dog. He is definitely a little timid at first, but quickly warms up and is eager for attention. He is content to sit as close to his foster family as possible and loves to rest his head in their lap. He looks up at you with the sweetest expression and gives soft wags of his tail. Diego gets a little nervous when you try to play rough with him, so we think a calm home would be best for him. He will play with toys and loves a game of tug of war though! He also adores other dogs and loves romping around the yard with them. He is excellent with cats as well.

Diego is excellent in the house and is perfect while his foster family is at work all day. He is extremely well trained and listens beautifully. He is neutered, housebroken and up to date with vaccinations. If you are looking for a loveable guy to spend some time with, Diego is the one for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diego, a Raritan Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Raritan, or seeking a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Raritan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Raritan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Raritan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Raritan paves the way for another one to be saved.
