My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE 2-24-10: Phil's foster reports that he has made a tremendous amount of progress and has started to get over his anxiety around men. He now will occasionally play with his foster dad, and will even give him little kisses! He will run right up to men at the dog park as well. This cutie is learning that males are okay to trust and it is such a rewarding experience to watch it unfold.

Little Phil has become a regular at the dog park and will run up to the other dogs and lick their faces.....full of kisses! His fosters, savvy dog people, have had quite a few dogs and are impressed by how smart Phil is. In a few short weeks, he has been trained to stay off the furniture, walk on eggshells around the grumpy resident dog and cat, and walk on a leash! He is great in the car, around dogs, and with kids too!

This precious little guy deserves to find a loving home to call his own! Contact us today!

UPDATE 2-8-10: Phil's foster mom says he now weighs 22 pounds. He loves to play the other dogs in his household, and wrestles with his sister or plays with toys while his foster mom works. He has a nap in his crate in the afternoon and is lucky enough to go to the dog park or beach later in the afternoon! He loves to play with the other dogs at the dog park and his foster considers him to be a very friendly, outgoing and loveable little guy! His foster thinks he would prefer to live in a home where someone, human or dog, is home during day as he really enjoys the company. Phil is still somewhat afraid of men. They have been introducing him to different men to try to get him used to their presence.

Phil's foster says he loves treats, food, and socks!

UPDATE 2-2-10: Phil has now made his journey north and his foster mom reports that he is doing great! He has not had any accidents in the house and is sleeping in his crate all night without any barking or crying. He also gets along with her foster's dog AND cat.

Little Phil is getting to know the people in his brand-new environment, and for now seems to be a bit shy around his foster dad.

Phil has been getting used to seeing other dogs on his walks, and his foster mom reports that he is lucky enough to have a dog park right down the street, which they are going to go to soon.

Phil is looking for a forever home to call his own, won't you consider this sweet little guy?

12-20-09 Phil and Lil are the cutest little rugrats! They were rescued from a really hard situation in the south where they were living with at least 20 other dogs. They are doing great now in foster care. They are around 4 months old and are very sweet. How cute are these siblings? They are teeny cuties at about 15 lbs.
**Like many of our sweeties, Phil and Lil are with a southern partner rescue or shelter. So many of these dogs are living in tough conditions and having to stay outside. Even though it's warmer there, it still gets very cold at night - not fit for man nor beast! We can only bring as many north as we have loving indoor foster homes for. Please consider helping a dog in need by fostering or adopting.**
