My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lola has now been with us one month. She came to us a very nervous, fearful dog who has gained a great deal of confidence in herself and her surroundings. She has reached an amicable truce with our cat. She loves being outdoors and going for walks. I take her for a 40 to 50 minute fast walk every day. She always keeps up and appears to be ready for more. Lola was noticeably overweight when she arrived. Exercise has trimmed her down somewhat and definitely made her even more energetic. She does have some food aggression, but has improved. Lola is very good about asking to go out when she needs to go. We can not use a doggie door so don’t know how she is with that. She is very bright and alert, so expect her to learn about it quickly. She is a very energetic, agile, and playful dog. She is a very affectionate dog who will be happy to leap up in your lap if allowed.
Lola doesn’t like other dogs at all and needs to be the only dog in a home. She also tends to take an immediate liking or disliking to strangers. Some she barks and growls at – some she likes right away. She instantly fell in love with my next door neighbor and looks for him every time we go out.

We have had no opportunity to have her around children so do not know how she is with them.

Lola will do great with very active adults.
