Clarence's Story...
Clarence is a very gentle and mild-mannered 10-month-old, 45-pound, Golden Retriever – Dachshund or Beagle-mix waiting for a loving home at Animal Adoption Associates in Chicago. Clarence may need some initial training, but he has a lovely temperament. He is crate-trained and coming along well with his house-breaking. Clarence gets along with everyone he meets … human and canine. He was pulled from the rural Crawford County Humane Society to find a home in Chicagoland. Clarence was found wandering as a stray. To meet and possibly adopt Clarence, please contact Samantha at harrisam15@yahoo.com or 773-615-9864. His adoption donation of $250 benefits the rescued dogs of AAA. Clarence is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm-tested, micro-chipped and de-wormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clarence, a Chicago Golden Retriever/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Dachshund for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Dachshund breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
