Katie's Story...
Katie is a 4 year old light sable German Shepherd who is searching for her perfect forever home where she will be loved and cared for wonderfully for the rest of her life.

Katie hasn't had the easiest couple years and was originally confiscated with multiple other German Shepherds in a hoarding situation. She was taken to the humane society to find a new place she could call home. She was adopted and then returned two years later due to the living arrangements of her owner changing and there wasn't a way to keep Katie apart of their lifestyle. Sadly, Katie was brought back to the humane society and found herself very stressed, sad and confused on why she had lost her home.

Katie is well trained, knows all of her basic commands and does them VERY well. She will sit, down, stay and give paw if you ask her to! She has great house manners and also is crate trained and housebroken. She seeks out attention from her people and will sit politely while you pet her.

We are looking for a stable, loving, dedicated home for Katie who will stand by her for many years to come. She is loving, attentive and sweet and really a very well behaved girl!

If you can provide the home environment we are seeking for Katie, please contact her foster parents Kristin and Bob at kristino4485@yahoo.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie, a Rochester/Buffalo German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
