Sheena's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sheena's Story...

Sheena is a gorgeous 2 year old black female that was abandoned at a kill shelter along with her 7 puppies. We brought her into rescue in June 2005 - the day before she was to be euthanized. Sadly, all but one of her pups died in that shelter. We had Sheena checked for heartworms and she tested a very high positive. We spent several weeks getting her at optimal health before the harsh treatment she would undergo to rid her heart of the worms.

Treatment was started on August 7th and to date, she has done well. If all continues to go well, she will be available on September 21st. She is such a sweet dog that we wanted to go ahead and let her be seen on the site even before she is actually ready. We think she'll be adopted quickly due to her loving temperament.

This dog is crate trained, spayed ,up to date on shots and should be HW free by mid September. Adoption application, home visit, and $200 adoption fee are required. Please read our adoption requirements on our home page.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sheena, a Pike Road German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Pike Road, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Pike Road.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pike Road already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pike Road breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pike Road paves the way for another one to be saved.
