Here's what the humans have to say about me:
3/5/2010: I am happy to report that Buddy is settling in very well and now has free access to the whole house (without having to drag a leash)! He is doing better with the cat. He is still very excited/interested in him but he is not aggressive at all. Buddy is a big lovable clumsy goof ball and just a sweet fun boy!
3-1-10: Buddy's foster reports that he is doing well in his new environment, getting along with his new foster dog sister. He loves his new foster family!
Sweet Buddy does something very unique and endearing - "air kisses!"
Buddy has been sleeping in his crate all night, with just a bit of a protest at first, and he appears to be housetrained.
Stay tuned for more updates on Buddy as his foster family gets to know him.
February 2010: Buddy is such a sweet, gentle and happy dog! He is a unique mix of Beagle and Labrador Retriever and weighs 67 pounds. Buddy is housebroken and is a bright dog who knows how to sit and shake hands. He loves to be at your side for long walks and always enjoys playtime. In early February, there was rare snow in Tennessee, and Buddy had a grand time jumping around and frolicking in it! Buddy is great with people of all ages and is very affectionate and loving. He also gets along well with cats and other dogs.
Buddy's caretaker in the south reports that Buddy is great in the car (he jumped right in) and that he LOVES belly rubs!
Buddy was surrendered to the shelter because his owner lost his job and could not afford to keep him anymore.
Like many of our sweeties, Buddy is with one of our partner shelters in the south. We are planning on bringing him north at the end of February.
