Junebug's Story...
Junebug is a very scared Labrador who has been mistreated. This labrador is sad to watch because she is so scared of humans and thinks humans will harm her. She is only a baby less than a year old. Junebug has been in rescue since Oct 2009 and is doing better with her foster mom. She loves her foster mom and hides behind her legs, or in a corner when the doorbell rings because she is scared of other people. She is learning that not all people are bad.
As of Feb 1,2010 Junebug now wags her tail and will come to you for affection. Junebug needs a quiet home with another dog to play with. She loves other dogs and learns from them. Her new family should be experienced with abused and mistreated dogs.If you are looking for a loving dog who needs some time to heal from her past please consider Junbug.
Once she knows that she is safe, you will never meet a more loving dog. She is a quiet dog who loves to cuddle when she feels safe.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Junebug, a Rochester Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Rochester, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Rochester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester paves the way for another one to be saved.
