Calvin's Story...
My name is Calvin. I am a two year old, neutered male basset hound. I have been an outside dog much of my life. I want nothing more than to know what it's like to be inside your home and know what love and affection really are. I love to be around humans. I am not shy around adults, men or teenagers. I am still young enough to adapt to almost any circumstance, with the proper understanding. In my foster home, I am working on housebreaking and counter surfing. I already have all my shots and microchip. I am just waiting for you to fall in love with me and in return I will give you all the basset kisses and hugs you could ever ask for, forever and ever.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calvin, a Phoenix Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
