CINDY MARABITO
I started rescuing pit bulls over 10 years ago, not by choice, but by calling. This has become my life's passion. I cannot save every dog, but can help those like me who are willing to help.

Arthur is a wonderful adorable boy. He is crate and housetrained, has been around cats and lived with other dogs. He loves to go running and also loves to chill out...as you can see from the photos!

Arthur loves toys and affection. He has lots of love to give that special person.

Please contact us to meet Arthur and learn more about our wonderful foster to adopt program.

About Animals First

About Our Rescue Group...

We started Animals First, a co-op of 13 rescues dedicated to saving all the animals that weren't lucky enough to be born pit bulls in the Bay Area. When we became successful Reunion Rescue saving pit bulls from euthanasia by San Francisco Animal Care and Control and the San Francisco SPCA, we kept running into all sorts of other animals who were being killed for no reason. We have saved dogs and cats of all ages and sizes who were going to be killed by SFACC and the SFSPCA because they were thought to be un-adoptable. We think this is criminal and have found homes for each of these animals, who are by the way, thriving and healthy in their new loving homes. We even have a pigeon rescue called "A Wing and a Prayer" for these birds who are all killed at SFACC just because they are pigeons.

Our Adoption Process...

We have different adoption processes for the animals. Dogs and Cats are fostered for a short period in which the dogs go to obedience training with Bob Gutierrez of A Better Way Dog Training. The cats are simply allowed to move in and begin taking over the new home. So far, we haven't found a way to train them, so we just let them have their own way. Each dog comes with a crate, good nutritious food that doesn't contain the words "by products" or "ethoxyquine", treats, toys and a free drop in training class. Cats come with food, toys, and an attitude! All other animals are fostered to adopt on an individual basis. We sign a contract with the new adopter that their pet with continue to eat good food, keep up with training and be relinquished to Animals First should for any reason the guardian give up the pet.
