Timber's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Timber's Story...
Timber is just two years old and is cute, sweet, friendly, and playful. She recently graduated from the Second Chance at Life Greyhound Prison Program at Gadsden Correctional Institution near Tallahassee. She has been trained her basic commands (heel, sit, down, stay, come on recall, and wait.) She is also house trained, crate trained and responsive to voice commands. Timber is still young and somewhat mischevious if you are not at home with her, so we recommend crating her when you are not at home, at least until she is fully acclimated into her new home. Timber is only 62 lbs, so she is a little smaller than an average size for a female greyhound. Her registered name is "Starz Timber". She rides well in a car, and gets along fine with other dogs. She may be a little too playful for cats and tiny dogs. Timber's $350 adoption fee includes her prison training, spay, teeth cleaning, all vaccines, collar, leash, training DVD, grooming mit, and stuffie toy. For more information or to meet Timber, please contact us at 813/272-2332.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timber, a Tampa Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
