Mugsy's Story...
Mugsy is about 8 months old, just recently neutered. He was living in home with 2 other dogs and got along fine. He was completely silent in his crate during his transport to northshore. He was very submissive and nervous, but we were told that he is all puppy, so we just think all the moving was why he was acting so shy! Mugsy is big boy and looks like he has some hound or dane in him. He is a very sweet and handsome boy! I expect him to do well in any home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mugsy, a Racine Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Racine, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Racine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Racine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Racine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Racine paves the way for another one to be saved.
