Sativa & Norman's Story...
Sativa and Norman are a loving, sweet and gentle pair of bassets that are looking for a forever home where they can remain together since they are bonded and seem very lost without one another. Even though they come as a pair they are very dog friendly and settled right in with their other basset brothers.

Sativa is very curious about the cat but she is not agressive, just curious. She has not learned "kitty has claws" since the indoor/outdoor tommy cat she is living with has no fear of dogs and just tolerates them in his house so he has put up with her endless curiosity. Norman doesnt really care or have much interest in the cat unless Sativa shows some interest.

They love their runs at the dog park and are friendly to every dog that approaches, but you will find them keeping tabs on each other every so often to make sure neither has left without their knowledge! Both are full of energy so dont let that premature grey hair on Sativa's face fool you and both are always ready to lend a paw following you from room to room to see if you need help with anything, but beware if you bend over a tongue will hit your face with lots of love and kisses especially from Sativa she LOVES to give kisses! Sativa and Norman both are doggie door trained but Norman needs to be reminded first thing in the morning that he has to go outside before saying hi to everyone.

Sativa is a lap dog all the way and loves to sleep on you and if Norman is laying next to you she will lay on you AND Norman to her everyone is a pillow!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sativa & Norman, a Phoenix Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
