My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Arrival story: Dolly was pulled from a shelter up north where her time was almost up.

Approximate age / weight: Approximately 1-2 years old and 55 lbs.

Personality: What a face! Dolly really makes her Shar Pei wrinkles work! Dolly is sweet and loving and still has a lot of puppy energy. She loves playing with other dogs and she shares her toys and rawhides like the lady she is. Dolly is working on her basic commands, including housetraining, although she has never had an accident in her crate. She is very smart, learns quickly and just needs to have her training reinforced. Dolly takes treats with a very gentle mouth, walks well on the leash, loves to ride in the car and rarely barks. Dolly gets excited when meeting new people (what puppy doesn’t?) but she settles down nicely. She is very good in her crate, although she will chew on anything that’s left in the crate with her – including her bedding (we did mention she’s a puppy, didn’t we?).

Dolly is very affectionate, loves to have her ears rubbed and will cuddle and lay in your lap if you let her. She is an absolute sweetheart!

Forever home: Dolly is very active and has lots of energy to burn. She will need a lot of exercise and activities to keep her happy and healthy. Dolly is good with children, gets along well with other dogs, and she will do well in a home with another doggie playmate. A fenced-in yard to run around and play in would be best for this fun-loving girl!
