Garnet's Story...
I’m a lovely lass with reddish-golden locks, that’s why my name is Garnet. My wonderful personality sparkles and my gentle loving nature always shines through. I was rescued from the county pound with my sister, Topaz. She’s already found a home, and I know I’m going to be next! Topaz isn’t the only dog I like. In fact, there are lots of other dogs here waiting for homes just like me, and I’m making it a point to introduce myself to each and every one of them. That’s just the kind of friendly girl I am. I’m very smart and eager to please, just come meet me and I’ll show you! My new family and I are sure to be instant friends. If you already have a dog in the family, that’s fine with me. If you have kids, that’s fine with me too. I’d love to be that twinkle in your eye, and that bounce in your step that only a new jewel of a friend can bring. (Please Note: I can be adopted only in the DC Metropolitan area. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Garnet, a Aldie German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Aldie, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
