Misty's Story...
MISTY is an absolutely gorgeous round faced British Short Hair mix, a 1 year old spayed female, who is shy to start, but is very sweet once settled. Misty adjusts well to another very laid back cat, or is ideal on her own as an only pet - she is not suited to a home with children, or with a dog. Misty is gentle natured, and affectionate, she just needs a little patience and TLC as she settles in to make for a lovely lap kitty.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a Hamilton British Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a British Shorthair for sale in Hamilton, or seeking a British Shorthair cat from a breeder in Hamilton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamilton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamilton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even British Shorthair breeders who help with British Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamilton paves the way for another one to be saved.
