Annabelle 4yr Adopted's Story...

Annabelle is Adopted

Annabelle is currently fostered in Mentor OH and her adoption donation is $250.00

Annabelle update:

Annabelle is doing very well in her foster home, she is such a super sweet little cocker girl. She loves the company of other dogs, and she especially adores children. She has the most laid back sweet temperment, and is very well house trained, she really is a joy to foster. I cannot say anything negative about this little dog.

Annabelle is a little on the shy side, and does seem to have a fear of men, but once she gets to know them, she warms up a little. For the most part, she is doing well with my husband, however she definitely favors women and children. Annabelle is a timid cocker until she gets to know new people and new enviornments, and can be skittish when she hears new or loud noises, but with the right home and family, she will steal your heart for sure.

Annabelle loves the company of people and dogs, and would do best in a home with another dog as well.
She loves children!! She also loves to play with toys and chew on her bones, she has a very gentle mouth.
Anna is currently somewhat skittish of loud noises, such as car doors slamming, or Loud voices, but seems to recover quickly.

Annabelle is a happy dog, who loves to be played with - she often looks like she is smiling or laughing at you!
She is well behaved, waits to be invited before jumping on the couch, knows "sit", and is housebroken.

Here is her original bio from 8 months ago.

Annabelle is a 4yr old female red cocker spaniel
She came to us from a shelter in Kentucky where she was a breeder surrender
Annabelle is a very sweet dog who gets along with everyone, children, cats, dogs, even the ferrett in the foster home
She is a typical velcro cocker who wants to be with you all of the time and sit on your lap
We feel she will be a great addition to any family because of her laid back temperment

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Annabelle 4yr Adopted, a Mentor Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Mentor, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Mentor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mentor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mentor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mentor paves the way for another one to be saved.
