My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

February 2010~ These are two gorgeous siblings. Earl and Terra are beautiful Bluetick Coonhounds who are about two years old.

These dogs can not be placed with cats. They have had some limited access to kids and been fine, even with a two year old. Older kids would be just great.

Both Terra and her brother have had to live on their own being very very hungry, and have had to scrounge for food so they will need more training before they can reliably take food out of your hand. They are still learning that they will get consistent meals. Terra is more laid back than Earl and has really started showing more personality and play. She really likes to play and chase and wrestle with her buddy who is an American bulldog mix. .

The foster mom tells us, "both are good dogs and have the potential to be great dogs. Adjusting to life inside a home will be major for them as I am certain they have never seen the inside of a house. They have already gotten better in the time we have had them, so I am hopeful that will continue to improve. They are absolutely gorgeous dogs, very fine examples of the breed. They both have beautiful gaits too, and the classic melodic baying voices. They will really be something once they are at healthy weights. "

Please contact us for an application if you are interested in these sweet dogs. They will only be adopted out as family members, not as hunting dogs. Earl and Terra are with our partner shelter in the south and we will bring them north once an available foster home or, of course, adoptive home, are found.
