My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Any Pekingese lover out there will go crazy for our good friend, Harley, who is just ridiculously adorable and quickly melts your heart! We are not sure of his age....the shelter said six, but we think he is older than that. Ten is a guesstimate. This is a long lived breed and the guess has not a thing to do with Harley's affect - he is a charmer still brimming with vivacity for life! Harley is a confident and well adjusted Peke, and as you can see, not a Grumpy Gus - Harley is ALL smiles! Very sweet, loves people. He is a snuggle bug....rub his ears and he's your pal forever and ever! ;).....who likes to be held, but classic for a Peke is not overly dependent. He has a curious nature, loves to explore, and has a nice, balanced character. Harley clearly was someone's loved pet but alas has not known the best of care, is a little thin, and will absolutely thrive with a good diet, some grooming, and regular veterinary care. His eyes are a little cloudy, his teeth are not in the best shape, but his vigor is outstanding and his overall health quite promising. This would be a MARVELOUS pet for a senior who wants to enjoy a nice companion who will accompany them on a pleasant daily walk. Outgoing, reliable, mellow and sweet. Gets along well with other pets, and is very well housebroken. He did great on his temperament test, is HW negative, neutered and microchipped. Currently in foster in RI.
