Penny's Story...
Sammy, Penny, Mark and Rose came to us from a heartbreaking situation. They lived in North Georgia with a couple that had many animals that they loved very much. The man is disabled and his wife just recently lost her job. Because they had so many animals and very little income coming in, they were unable to provide adequate food and shelter for them. We heard about the situation and offered to help out. Hopefully we will be able to find these sweet babies a new home soon.

Penny is a beautiful, sweet torti girl that is a bit shy but that is only because she does not understand what has happened to her. Once she realizes she is safe and loved, I am sure she will come around. I bet she misses her family and all her animal friends, but we promised her we would find her a new family that will love her forever!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
