Twister's Story...
My name is Twister! I am almost a 4 year old, 55 pound, male Siberian Husky. I came to my foster family after being banished to living in the backyard on a chain after my family had a second baby. Since I was allowed in the house with only one baby, I am great with kids. I love other dogs, but mainly want to spend time close to people who love me. My foster mom lets me out with her dogs to go to the bathroom and I am the first one back. I will follow her around the backyard and the house. I am a mellow dog that still gets energy to play. I absolutely love going on walks with my people. I am not as terribly tremendous as Huskies normally are but still have some of those tendencies.

I have had worms, but am healthy now. I am up to date on all my shots and medications. I am mastering walking on a leash. I am house broken and crate trained. I also have a micro chip, but it has not been activated. I look forward to living in a home where people will love me as much as I love them.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Twister, a Richmond Siberian Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Siberian Husky dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky breeders who help with Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
