I was found as a stray and will be available for adoption on February 16th if my owner doesn't come to get me. I'm about 1 year old and 53 thin lbs. I'm a happy and friendly boy! I seem to know the "sit" command and I'd love for you to teach me more! I will be adopted out on a neuter contract which includes a monetary deposit that will be refunded when you provide proof from your veterinarian that I have been altered, which MUST be done within 30 days of my adoption! If you are interested in me and you can provide a loving responsible forever home please contact the shelter and don't forget to include my ID number! If you don't plan to honor the adoption contract and have me neutered and keep me up to date on my shots, please do not inquire about adopting me.2/10

Why Adoption is a Great Option

D0703, a Ladysmith Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Ladysmith, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Ladysmith.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ladysmith already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ladysmith breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ladysmith paves the way for another one to be saved.
