Samantha's Story...
This is Samantha, a 2 year old Labrador Retriever mix who weighs about 57 pounds. She is fully vaccinated and already spayed. She is house trained and crate trained. She gets along great with most dogs her own size and is great around cats. Because of her size and strength, she would do better in a home with older children. She loves to snuggle on the couch, get belly rubs and to give you kisses. Stop by and meet this wonderful little girl, she is an absolute doll!

As HAHS has several adoption locations, please contact Raschelle at r.perry_hahs@sbcglobal.net to find out when and where you can meet SAMANTHA!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Samantha, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
