Dalas's Story...
Dalas is a very nice, affectionate black Pug/Chihuahua mix who is 1 ½ years old and weighs about 10 pounds. He is crate trained and housetrained. He is heartworm negative and current on all his vaccinations. Dalas has a wonderful disposition! He plays very well with other dogs and loves to give kisses as well as snuggle up with his foster family. We think he might even do well with cats, although foster mom and dad don’t have any kitties. Dalas just came into foster care so we will update his bio as we learn more about him but so far his foster family thinks he is the best! Come and meet our Dalas!

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Candy or Mark at 816/600-7364 (home), 816/916-3685 (cell) or lelandsable@comcast.net to find out when and where you can meet DALAS!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dalas, a Overland Park Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
