Important Note

Sherman is best friends with Shelby. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
My name is Sherman and I was born in April 2008. My foster Mom thinks that I am the cat's meow because I am super affectionate and a real people-lover. I quite agree!

Along with my sister, Shelby (also AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION) I joined the W&W foster program when we were rescued from the outdoors by a volunteer. We are so relieved 'cause we know how tough life would have been for us living as homeless kitties.

Since our rescue, we have really settled in to domestic bliss. Like other younger kitties, I still have a playful kitten-side. I enjoy the companionship of another kitty friend for hours of playfulness or just lying in the warm sun. I would ideally LOVE to be adopted along with my sister, Shelby, whom I am very attached to. We are, you might say, two peas in a pod!

About Whiskers and Wags-4-Adoption

About Our Rescue Group...

Whiskers and Wags-4-Adoption is a 501(c)(3), all volunteer, non-profit organization. We are a small group with 3 foster homes. We pull animals from the Jersey City Shelter, Perth Amboy Shelter, Associated Humane. We also accept turn-ins and strays. We are members of the New Hope Program in New York. All our animals are tested, vet checked and spayed/neutered if age permits. We participate in the NJ State Spay/Neuter Program. Animals taken in by Whiskers and Wags stay with us until adopted. Some will remain with us. The cats are not caged in the foster homes. In one foster home, the cats live with dogs.
