As you can see from my picture, I love to watch all the birds and animals outside - from the safety of my window perch indoors. You see, there was a time when I was homeless and living outside. It was rough and, I had two kittens at a very yound age to also take care of.

My name is Silvia and I was born approx. November 2003. My kittens, Kenny and Ozzie (AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION) and I were all found and scooped up by a nice person who didn't want us living outside any longer. My foster home was a much safer place for me and my kittens, and I have made lots of friends. My most special friend is Simon, a 15 year old Siamese. My foster parents joke that he is really my boyfriend because I can often be found snuggling up alongside of him and squeezed into his bed.

Although I am a happy kitty, I could be even happier finding a permanent family to call my own. I like the company of other cats and would be happiest in a home with a gentle kitty whom I can bond with. My foster parent's may even have other suggestions from the group I already live with for consideration - just ask!

About Whiskers and Wags-4-Adoption

About Our Rescue Group...

Whiskers and Wags-4-Adoption is a 501(c)(3), all volunteer, non-profit organization. We are a small group with 3 foster homes. We pull animals from the Jersey City Shelter, Perth Amboy Shelter, Associated Humane. We also accept turn-ins and strays. We are members of the New Hope Program in New York. All our animals are tested, vet checked and spayed/neutered if age permits. We participate in the NJ State Spay/Neuter Program. Animals taken in by Whiskers and Wags stay with us until adopted. Some will remain with us. The cats are not caged in the foster homes. In one foster home, the cats live with dogs.
