My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Desmond (below) and Desiree (right) are 13 month old basset mixes, they are brother and sister and have always been together. Unfortunately we have had to separate them for fostering, but would really like to adopt them out together. They are both doing well in their foster homes, they each get along with a houseful of dogs, and are very sweet and loving.

Desmond may not have all his basset mother's looks (his father was probably a shepherd), but out of the 40 fosters I've had over the past 3 years, I would have to say that I've never had a sweeter dog. Desmond is loving and gentle, doesnt shed and hardly ever barks. He gets along great with the other dogs and plays nicely, at 13 months old you might expect him to still have some of that puppy naughtiness, but no, Desmond is very well mannered. He is both house-trained and knows how to use a doggie door, he was raised with small children and cats and I dont think you could ask for a better addition to your family. I know he and Desiree would like to be adopted together, but Desmond gets along so well with other dogs, that as long as he had some company he would be ok without her.
