Corky's Story...
Corky, what you think that’s a funny name for a girl? Ok, so maybe it is but no big deal, I can learn a new one. It’s not like I am real used to hearing it…I did live in a kennel with 12 other dogs. Yep all 13 of us living outside, lacking the love and attention we deserve. It’s pretty shocking that I’m as friendly and happy as I am, I guess I just didn’t let my rough start get me down. But boy o boy am I excited for a fresh start. Excited to find a family where I will get all the love and attention that I missed out on. I of coarse do well with other dogs, and won’t mind sharing my home with older kids. So what do you say- you ready to take me home? 1 ½ years old-14lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; spay, microchip, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam ,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Corky, a Portland Fox Terrier (Smooth)/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Fox Terrier (Smooth)/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Fox Terrier (Smooth)/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Fox Terrier (Smooth)/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Fox Terrier (Smooth)/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
