Katie's Story...
Sweet little Katie was about to be euthanized because she had a little hair missing on her tail at the local shelter. It turned out not to be anything contagious and she is perfect now. She has had 3 rounds of puppy shots and worming and has been spayed and microchipped. She will probably stay in the 35 to 40 lb range. Katie is smart and sweet and desperate for a forever home. She is 6 months old now and has spent her childhood in a rescue. Please give her a chance at the life she deserves! Someone told her black mixes never find a home. If you would like to prove them wrong, please contact onemorelastchancerescue@hotmail.com or call 423-903-1625 Her adoption fee is $350

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie, a Windham Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Windham, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Windham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Windham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Windham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Windham paves the way for another one to be saved.
