Lady ~ Pending's Story...
Arrival story: Lady is a Newfoundland mix who was pulled from a rural shelter when her time was up.

Personality: Lady is a very calm, lovable girl who is happy to be in a home. She is housetrained and knows “sit”. She is crate trained but prefers not to be in a crate, and so far she hasn’t had any problems being left out of the crate with run of the house. She’s met several other dogs and cats and seems to be fine with them.

Unfortunately, Lady has obviously suffered from ear and possible skin infections that have not been properly treated. Now that she is with Waggin Tails, we’ll get her the treatment that she needs to feel better. But even with those issues she is a gentle, sweet girl who loves ear and belly rubs.

We will post more about Lady as we get to know her.

Forever home: To be determined.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady ~ Pending, a Northville Newfoundland dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Newfoundland for sale in Northville, or seeking a Newfoundland dog from a breeder in Northville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Northville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Northville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Newfoundland breeders who help with Newfoundland rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Northville paves the way for another one to be saved.
