Nellie's Story...
Meet Nellie, a super sweet southern bell. Nellie is around 5 years old laid back quiet girl.Completely house broken, does not get on the furniture. Lays quietly by the couch just waits to get her pets. She walks wonderful on leash, gently guiding you where she would like to go. When she is done walks back to the door, turns and looks at you, like well I am done lets go in now!

She has been a kind, gentle girl with her foster siblings, she will play with them , when she has had enough she walk away and lays down with her toy. Loves to carry around her stuffed animal. Has not even looked twice at the kitties, sniffed them and walked away. Nellie loves attention, if you walk out of the room she watches you with those pleading eyes, until you tell her to come.Nellie would love a quiet companion to share her home with. More on Nellie as we get to know her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nellie, a Rochester/Buffalo German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
