D0709's Story...
I was found as a stray and I will be available for adoption on March 2nd if my owner doesn't come to get me. I'm about 5-6 months old and 36lbs. I'm a very cute and snuggly girl! I'm a little shy at first but with some encouragement I come out of my shell quickly! I'd like a responsible owner who will get me out to meet lots of new people and other animals! Maybe we could even go to a puppy kindergarten class! I will be adopted out on a spay contract which includes a deposit that will be refunded when you provide proof that I have been altered, which MUST be done within 30 DAYS of my adoption!! If you are interested in providing a loving responsible forever home and you have the time to properly train, socialize and love a sweet girl like me, please contact the shelter and don't forget to include my ID number! If you don't plan to honor the adoption contract and have me spayed and keep me up to date on my shots, please do not inquire about adopting me.2/24

ALL ANIMALS MUST BE ALTERED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ADOPTION OR BY SIX MONTHS OF AGE!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

D0709, a Ladysmith Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Ladysmith, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Ladysmith.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ladysmith already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ladysmith breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ladysmith paves the way for another one to be saved.
