My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

http://www.valleydogs.org/dogs/other_oreo.html
My name is Oreo because I am black and white. I was born on June 13th, 2004 and was in temporary housing at Animal Kingdom located at Arrowhead mall in Peoria, AZ. On September, 2004, my owner was in the store looking around when she spotted me. She recognized that I was on sale and she asked the lady what was I on sale in comparison to my other peers. The lady stated, "because she has been here a long time and no one wants her." My owner heart melted and that day she decided to take me home with her. Although she was a new mom she took the challenge on. We were great together. I loved my new home because it was spacious and had a great back yard. My mom took care of me all the time. She took me to the park and played with me a lot. Some times she would leave me in a boarding facility because she had to go somewhere and I would miss her so much. When she came to picked me up we would have so much fun.

A couple of years later a lot of changes happened. My mom had to move out of her house and into an apartment in Chicago and Arizona. I am more of an Arizona dog than Chicago. Then before I knew it on June 13, 2006 someone else joined our family. I was excited about this changed but also a little anxious. However, three years later we have made it through the changes. I really like playing with Hannah (3 1/2 year old) because we both need playmates. I will admit I do miss the larger house with the great backyard. I love to be outside a lot and currently that is hard for me to make that happened. I do know a couple of tricks but would like to learn more. My mom is so busy right now we can't play as much. I would like to be in a home where we can play more and I would be able to go outside. Currently, my mom walks me in the morning and late afternoon and then again around 9pm. When my mom is not home she puts me in the kennel. I like to get washed and a cut about every two months and my ears to be cleaned out regularly. I like to chew on things mostly toys. I eat a variety of dog food brands, ice and plenty of water. Every now and then my Hannah drops food and I am ready to get it. Sometimes during lunch or dinner time I go into my kennel and hang out. I've never been in a car accident or any surgeries. I've been pretty healthy.

My mom and I agreed I need a little more attention and tender loving care. As much as it pains us both I am looking for a new home. I am pretty laid back and usually bark only when I hear noises. I look forward to meeting my new owner.
